Experienced Roofer Bournemouth, Ready to Step into Management?

£200–£250 per day | Bournemouth & Dorset | Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced roofer ready to step into management/supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising and overseeing roofing projects.
  • Managing and motivating teams.
  • Checking quality/productivity.
  • Use your practical roofing experience to support the team and keep projects running smoothly.
  • Coordinating teams and workloads.
  • Monitoring project progress and deadlines.
  • Checking workmanship and quality.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Dealing with site issues.
  • Communicating with customers/site contacts where required.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills.

Experienced Roofer in Bournemouth Looking for a Permanent Position?

£150–£200 per day | Bournemouth & Dorset | Permanent

Are you an experienced roofer looking for a permanent position with an established roofing company? AKT Roofing is looking for a skilled and reliable roofer to join our team and work across roofing projects throughout Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Dorset.

You’ll be carrying out a range of roofing installations, repairs and maintenance work, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and working safely as part of an experienced team.

     Responsibilities: 

 •  Carry out roof installations, repairs, maintenance and replacements to a high standard.

 •  Carry out re-pointing, flashing, guttering, fascias, soffits and other associated roofing work.

 •  Work with a range of roofing materials and systems as required.

 •  Check completed work to ensure it meets the required quality and workmanship standards.

 •  Identify and report any defects, damage or issues encountered during roofing work.

 •  Support and guide junior roofers or labourers when required.

 •  Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

 •  Work efficiently as part of a team while meeting project deadlines.

 •  Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, particularly when working at height.

     Requirements:

 •  Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a roofer.

 •  Strong knowledge of roof installation, repair, maintenance and replacement.

 •  Experience in roof repairs, re-pointing, flashing, guttering and waterproofing.

 •  Good knowledge of UK health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

 •  High standard of workmanship and strong attention to detail.

 •  Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.

 •  Comfortable working outdoors and at height.

 •  Full UK driving licence preferred.

Looking to Start a Career in Roofing?

£100–£150 per day | Bournemouth & Dorset | Training Provided

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and keen to build a career in roofing. You’ll work alongside experienced roofers, developing practical skills through on-the-job training while learning how to carry out roofing work safely and to a high standard.

Previous roofing experience is not essential, although experience in construction, roofing or other manual work would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced roofers with installation, repairs, maintenance, and replacement of roofs.
  • Load, unload, carry, and organise roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with the preparation of roofs and work areas before roofing work begins.
  • Help with the installation of tiles, slate, felt, insulation, flashing, membranes, and other roofing materials under supervision.
  • Keep the work area clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
  • Safely use basic hand tools and equipment under instruction.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly when working at height.
  • Learn correct roofing techniques and develop practical skills through on-the-job training.
  • Report any damage, hazards, or problems to the roofer or site supervisor.
  • Look after company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when working on customers’ properties.
  • Progress towards becoming a fully qualified and experienced roofer through training and practical experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction, roofing, or manual work is desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and develop roofing skills on the job.
  • Good attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take instruction.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physically fit and able to carry roofing materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable working at height and following safe working practices.
  • Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
