As an accredited NFRC Competent Person Scheme contractor AKT Roofing have the unique ability to self-certify that the work we complete complies with the relevant Building Regulations in England and Wales which means we can provide our customers with their Building Regulations Certificate saving time and money on planning appointments and fees. Through the NFRC we are accredited to the government endorsed “TrustMark Scheme” which offers our customers every confidence of a guarantee of workmanship.

TrustMark is a Government endorsed sign of consumer protection for various types of work including the installation of renewable energy generators. Customers who sign a contract with a TrustMark-registered business can have confidence that the business complies with the high standards set out in TrustMark’s scheme requirements.

Consumers who sign a contract with a business who is TrustMark-registered through RECC can have confidence that the business complies with the high standards set out in RECC as well as TrustMark’s scheme requirements. On completion of works you can complete the RECC feedback form.

As an accredited NFRC Competent Person Scheme contractor AKT Roofing have the unique ability to self-certify that the work we complete complies with the relevant Building Regulations in England and Wales. This means once the work has been completed and signed off our customers will receive a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate.

More importantly, Building Control will automatically be notified that the works have taken place, fulfilling your legal obligation. With every domestic notification, a ten-year IBG is included to reinforce the contractor’s workmanship guarantee. In the unlikely event that the roof fails, and the contractor ceases to trade, the IBG will come into effect.

If possible, use a roofer from a reputable trade association who has been vetted and checked. Ensure the roofing contractor is fully insured and has a reputable Health & Safety policy in place. The Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC) will provide you with an approved members search engine.
